Game, SET und Match: Pyrrolaminoimidazol-Alkaloide (PAIs) werden durch Metabiosynthese ausgehend von chlorierten Oroidin-Analoga in zellfreien Präparationen PAI produzierender Schwämme erhalten. Die Ergebnisse liefern Hinweise, dass die Biosynthese von PAIs über Einelektronentransfers (SETs) verläuft, die C-C-Bindungsknüpfungen der Vorstufenmoleküle vermitteln.
