Graphenoxidfilme wurden als kostengünstige und flexible Nanogeneratoren hergestellt, die akustische Energie mit einem Wirkungsgrad von 12.1 % in Elektrizität umwandeln (siehe Bild). Der erzeugte Strom hing stark vom pH-Wert der Suspensionen ab, die zur Herstellung der Graphenoxidfilme verwendet wurden.
