Riesige gemischte Cluster entstehen aus einem mehrkernigen supramolekularen Silber(I)-tert-butylethinid-Baustein und phosphonatfunktionalisierten Oxovanadaten als Oberflächenkomponente. Verschiedene anionische Spezies können bei diesem Prozess als Template eingeschlossen werden. Das Bild zeigt ein Ag36-Clusteranion, in dem ein Chloridion (Kugel) und zwei [(O2)(V2O6)]4−-Ionen (dunkelgrün) verkapselt sind. Ag blau, O rot, P gelb, V grün.
