Frequenzverdopplung: Eine Strategie, mit der dipolare organische Chromophore in die Kanäle eines anionischen Metall-organischen Gerüsts (MOF) eingefügt werden, wurde zur Herstellung hochaktiver nichtlinear-optischer Materialien entwickelt (siehe Bild). Das MOF-Material zeigt eine Frequenzverdopplung mit einer Intensität von 18.3 relativ zu α-Quarz.
