Hexagonale Magnesium-Nanokristallplättchen (MgNCs) wurden in einem porösen Metall-organischen Gerüst (MOF, siehe Bild) erzeugt. Das MgNC@MOF-Komposit speichert Wasserstoff durch Physi- und Chemisorption; dabei setzt es die isostere Wärme der H2-Physisorption sowie die H2-Chemisorptions-/Desorptions-Temperaturen deutlich herab.
