Aus Halbsandwich-förmigen Dialkylseltenerdmetallkomplexen und [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] erhaltene kationische Alkylseltenerdmetallspezies sind Katalysatoren für die regioselektive C-H-Alkylierung von Anisolen mit Alkenen. Die Reaktion liefert je nach Substrat ortho-monoalkylierte Derivate oder Produkte, die an der Benzylposition substituiert sind.
