Molekularer Scheibenwischer: Das abgebildete polymakrocyclische Oligoarylamin kann mehrere Redoxstufen einnehmen. Die Pseudo-Beltan-Struktur mit para-Phenylendiamin-Brücken verleiht seinem Radikalkation die Fähigkeit, zwischen zwei seitlich verschobenen Strukturen zu wechseln. Die Tetraazacyclophan-Einheiten sind dagegen starre Komponenten des Polymakrocyclus.
