Das einfach verdrehte Möbius-antiaromatische [34]Heptaphyrin A und das doppelt verdrehte Hückel-aromatische [34]Heptaphyrin B entstehen als Produkte einer Phosphorinsertion. A lagert sich thermisch in das stabilere B um, wobei die P[DOUBLE BOND]O-Gruppe von einer NNN- in eine NNC-Umgebung wandert; A ist somit eine von wenigen Möbius-antiaromatischen Verbindungen, die kinetisch kontrolliert gebildet werden.
