Aller guten Dinge sind drei: Auf bloßem Graphen adsorbierte Antikörper verlieren ihre Fähigkeit zur Antigen-Erkennung. Dieser Nachteil lässt sich umgehen, indem man die Antikörper an selbstorganisierte Monoschichten einer tripodalen Verbindung konjugiert (siehe Bild).
