Oxid oder Carbid? Wolframkatalysatoren desoxygenieren selektiv Pflanzenöle durch entweder Decarboxylierung/Decarbonylierung oder Hydrodesoxygenierung (HDO); welcher Weg beschritten wird, hängt von der vorherrschenden Wolframphase ab (WO3 und W2C). Durch diesen Prozess können Pflanzenöle unter einer H2-Atmosphäre in höherwertige Olefine umgewandelt werden.
