Eine überzeugende Antwort: Ein supramolekulares Hydrogel aus einem Diselenid-haltigen Polymer und einem Peptidamphiphil mit gebundenem Wirkstoff wird beschrieben. Unter der Einwirkung von γ-Strahlen werden die Diselenid-Bindungen oxidativ gespalten, und es findet ein Gel-Sol-Übergang statt (siehe Bild). Das Hydrogel kann als UV-vermitteltes Wirkstofftransportsystem genutzt werden und bietet Perspektiven für eine kombinierte Strahlen- und Chemotherapie.
