Erhebend: Eine 6s-5d-Hybridisierung und ein Anheben des 5d-Bands an das Fermi-Niveau wurden für katalytisch aktive Goldcluster auf Ceroxid-Nanostäben mittels resonanter Photoemissionsspektroskopie und Dichtefunktionalrechnungen festgestellt. Die Resultate helfen, die hohe Aktivität dieses Systems als Katalysator in der CO-Oxidation zu erklären.
