Ionenbrücke über Goldlücke: Der Elektronentransport in Gold-Nanolückenelektroden über diskrete Anordnungen von Goldionen in Koordinationskäfigen (siehe Bild) wurde direkt mit STM gemessen. Eine präzise Kalibrierung des Elektronentransportabstands ergab eine gute Leitfähigkeit und mit zunehmendem Transportweg nur moderate Verluste.
