Die Größe organischer Nanopartikel (NPs) kann elektrochemisch über den faradayschen Ladungstransfers bestimmt werden, wenn die Nanopartikel eine Elektrode streifen. Indigo-NPs wurden als Modell verwendet (siehe Verteilung des NP-Durchmessers). Das Verfahren könnte zur Bestimmung der Größe zahlreicher organischer Nanopartikel genutzt werden.
