Transport per Flügelrad: Der durch einen Zweiphotonenprozess ausgelöste Camptothecin-Transport in MCF-7-Krebszellen mithilfe von Nanoimpellern (siehe Bild) wurde untersucht. Ein Fluorophor mit einem großen Zweiphotonenabsorptionsquerschnitt wurde zunächst in die Nanoimpeller eingebaut. Zwischen dem Fluorophor und der Azobenzol-Einheit fand ein resonanter Fluoreszenzenergietransfer (FRET) statt.
