Abstract

A general synthesis of primary and secondary amines consists in the alkylation of diphenylphosphinic amide and N-alkyldiphenylphosphinic amide under the conditions of phase-transfer catalysis. Removal of the protecting group is accomplished with HCI gas in THF.
