Processing of Polyacetylene from Aqueous Nanoparticle Dispersions

Printed circuits: Aqueous polyacetylene dispersions were prepared by catalytic polymerization of acetylene in an aqueous emulsion with a cationic palladium catalyst with a bulky diphosphine ligand. Facile processing is demonstrated by ink-jet printing of the conductive-polymer dispersions to produce a functioning electronic device (see picture).
