The determination of temperature increments around excited magnetic nanoparticles is an experimental challenge, and previous reports tend to employ simple and limited methods. In their Communication on page 11526 ff., V. Grazú, J. M. de la Fuente, and co-workers demonstrate an accurate spatial mapping of the temperature by exposing magnetic nanoparticles that are functionalized with fluorophore-modified DNA of different lengths to radiofrequency radiation.
