The global energy crisis and environmental pollution have drawn the attention of scientists like Moon Jeong Park et al. on page 2363 toward the development of efficient electrochemical devices. Polymer electrolytes integrated with ionic liquids have the potential to serve as new solid-state conductors in diverse electrochemical devices, where the achievement of high ion transport properties in these electrolytes is key to improving the device efficiency. The creation of self-assembled morphologies in ionic-liquid-containing polymer electrolytes using block copolymers has emerged as a novel prospective technique geared toward obtaining next-generation electrochemical devices with enhanced performances. The cover image shows the anisotropic conductivity of aligned samples.
