The ARHP Audio Conference Series is designed to meet the educational needs of health professionals involved in the management of patients with arthritis and other rheumatic diseases. The series is a convenient, cost-effective way to experience leading content from experts in the field. Held monthly beginning in January and running through June, each live, interactive 60-minute session will explore an aspect of the most current information available about arthritis care. Sessions are always scheduled from noon–1:00 PM Eastern Time, and registered participants will receive the speaker's handout materials prior to the call, along with a toll-free phone number and instructions on how to join the call and how to ask questions during the question/answer period. The ARHP Audio Conference Series is an excellent in-service education tool. You and your colleagues can participate from the comfort of your office or conference room—all for a single registration fee (and it's a toll-free call)! Contact Hours—CMEs and Certificates of Participation are available.

The remaining session topics and dates are: Tuesday, April 11, 2006, Sleep and Rheumatic Diseases, Mark Mahowald, MD; Tuesday, May 9, 2006, Cognitive Dysfunction in SLE, Melanie J. Harrison, MD, MS; and Wednesday, June 14, 2006, Osteoporosis and Its Management, Jonathan D. (Rick) Adachi, MD.

The CARE Conference was originally inspired by an informal network of nonpharmacologic/nonsurgical researchers in rheumatology in Europe and North America. CARE IV will be held September 6–8, 2006. The 3 domains of the conference will be implementation of nonpharmacologic research and models of care, knowledge transfer (the education of health professionals), and quality of life (measuring outcomes in a client-centered way). Anyone who is undertaking nonpharmacologic research in rheumatology in any of the 3 domains is encouraged to submit an abstract by May 26, 2006. The first author of accepted abstracts will receive complimentary attendance at the conference, including accommodations, and economy class flights to the UK. All accepted abstracts will be verbal presentations and attendees will be expected to take part in round table discussions and participate in the entire conference. For additional information, visit the Web site at www.leeds.ac.uk/CAREIV.
