Registration materials are available for the 2008 ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting to be held October 24–29 in San Francisco. The ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting, held in conjunction with the American College of Rheumatology's Annual Scientific Meeting, is planned to reflect the needs and interests of health professionals working with arthritis and rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. It provides a forum to address issues of professional significance with a multidisciplinary audience. The ARHP preconference Clinical Focus Course will be offered October 25, 2008 as part of the ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting in San Francisco. This interactive, hands-on preconference course will give interested nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinicians specific information and practice in performing adult and pediatric rheumatology-specific physical examinations and in calculating HAQ and DAS28 scores. Participants will also be given the opportunity to practice intraarticular injections on small and large joint prosthetic models. Your medical slides could make you a winner in the ACR Annual Slide Competition. The submitter of the slide that is judged best overall will receive complimentary registration to the 2009 ACR Annual Scientific Meeting in Philadelphia, plus 4-night complimentary hotel accommodations during the meeting. In addition, the submitters of the winning slides in each individual category (Still, Dynamic, Case Study) will receive complimentary registration to the 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting. All winning slides will be published in a future issue of Arthritis & Rheumatism. Submissions are due by September 2, 2008.
