ARHP: advanced practice skills training

The ARHP will offer an Advance Practice Skills Training Course October 17, 2009, as part of the ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting in Philadelphia. This interactive, hands-on preconference course will give interested nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinicians specific information and practice in performing adult and pediatric rheumatology-specific physical examinations and in calculating HAQ and DAS28 scores. Participants will also be given the opportunity to practice intraarticular injections on small and large joint prosthetic models. Details and registration materials will be available this month at

ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting Registration

Registration materials are available for the 2009 ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting to be held October 16–21 in Philadelphia. The ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting, held in conjunction with the American College of Rheumatology's Annual Scientific Meeting, is planned to reflect the needs and interests of health professionals working with arthritis and rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. It provides a forum to address issues of professional significance with a multidisciplinary audience. NP and PA Postgraduate Rheumatology Training Program Now Available

The ACR/ARHP Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Postgraduate Rheumatology Training Program is now open for registration. More than 60 experts have dedicated hundreds of hours to complete this innovative program, which includes 18 hours of audio-annotated PowerPoint slides, 2,800 slides, and 631 images in 19 modules.
