ACR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for Rheumatologists—Fundamentals
If you are interested in investigating the possibilities of musculoskeletal ultrasound for your practice, don't miss the ACR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for Rheumatologists—Fundamentals, taking place this April in Chicago. Designed specifically for rheumatologists with limited ultrasound experience who are interested in the potential benefits of musculoskeletal ultrasound for their patients, this intensive 2-day course provides an excellent foundation in the technique of musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as the anatomy and pathophysiology of the shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, hip, knee, foot, and ankle, and ultrasound guidance of aspirations, injections, and biopsies. Course topics will include Principles of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for Rheumatologists, Technique of Ultrasound Guidance, and Billing, Coding, and Report Generation.
The ACR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for Rheumatologists—Fundamentals will be held April 20–21, 2013 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers. Registration for the course is limited, so be sure to register early. The early-bird registration deadline is March 6, 2013, and the deadline for advance registration is April 3, 2013. Basic Immunology: Fundamental Concepts and Relevance to Human Disease and Therapeutics. May 6–7, 2013, Genoa, Italy. Sponsored jointly by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS)−European Journal of Immunology and the Paediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS), and held under the auspices of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies. This course is geared toward junior physicians and clinical fellows seeking to enhance their understanding of the fundamentals of cellular and molecular immunology, particularly in relation to the pathogenesis and treatment of immune-mediated diseases. Registration will be limited to 100 participants. Numerous grants covering registration, lodging, and partial travel expenses will be made available to members of EFIS-affiliated national societies and PReS. To apply, candidates are invited to submit a 1-page CV including a list of their 3 most relevant publications, as well as proof of membership in an EFIS-affiliated national society or PReS.
