Full Metallic jacket: A flexible 3D organometallic cage was constructed through C[BOND]H activation-directed multicomponent self-assembly. The isomer of the designed cage can modify the size of its cavity from “closed form” (without internal cavity) to “opened form” (i.e., accommodate one appropriate aromatic guest molecule; see picture).
