Two is better than one! A self-assembled, bispecific drug carrier has been developed by engineering two DNA aptamers that recognize different types of cancer cells (see picture). The resultant drug carrier showed the bispecific abilities to recognize cancer cells, deliver an anticancer drug (Doxorubicin), and induce cytotoxicity, even in cell mixtures.
