Marriott, Downtown Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA

The International Meeting for Autism Research will be held Thursday, May 20 through Saturday May 22, 2010 at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA.

The photograph on the back cover of the journal is of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (, one of the largest museums in the United States and just 1.5 miles from the meeting site on Market Street. The conference hotel is just half a mile from the National Constitution Center (, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and a few blocks from the heart of Philadelphia's Center City Shopping District. The hotel also is across the street from Reading Terminal Market (, a Philadelphia landmark and public market since 1893. This year, conference participants will receive gift certificates to purchase their lunch on each day of the conference at one of the Market's 80 vendors, who showcase fresh, local foods from dozens of cuisines.

We'll also have many activities to keep you occupied indoors, including keynote addresses on the latest findings relevant to our fields, as well as a series of invited educational symposia, oral presentations and many posters. We will continue the technology & autism poster/demo session from last year that focuses on innovative uses of technology in autism research and therapy. During lunch time, we will expand the special interest meetings that were so successful last year. New for this year, potential presenters may submit 3 or 4 linked abstracts with a discussant to be presented together in one 60-minute scientific panel.

Up-to-date information on the conference is available at Meeting registration and hotel registration will be available on the website in January.

All awards will be made and notifications sent by February 1. Note: stipends involve reimbursements for submitted expenses, to be made after the IMFAR conference.
