Abstract
Environmental, economic and political drivers are forcing governments and industries to move toward a new, biomass-based economy. But are current economic conditions such that we should encourage growers to turn to renewables? And if they are, how can this be demonstrated to farmers and growers? The National Non-Food Crops Centre (NNFCC), UK has developed calculators to help answer these questions.
