Ellis Bell of the University of Richmond, Richmond, VA, has a high profile of contribution to international discussion of biochemical education (e.g. E. Bell (2001) The future of education in the molecular sciences, Nat. Rev. Mol. Cell Biol.2, 221–225). He has initiated a major project that is best described in the words of the site, “The construction of BIOCHeMISTRY eXPLORER is anticipated to involve several hundred educators around the world and to take up to 5 years to complete. If you are interested in participating in the construction of BIOCHeMISTRY eXPLORER, and would like to receive information about the types of information about various components of the site that we hope will be contributed, and who has already committed to various parts of the site, or have views or suggestions about the site I hope that you will contact me by E-mail at jbell2@richmond.edu. Various funding applications will be prepared to help with the construction of the site and I welcome your participation in this venture.”
