The Hurtley locker: The first examples of copper-catalyzed Cmath image[BOND]Cmath image cross-coupling with the direct involvement of a CuI/CuIII catalytic cycle are reported. The product rapidly reorganizes into a 1,2-dihydroisoquinoline scaffold.
