Direct borylation of aryl/alkenyl carbamates was developed through Ni catalysis. A broad substrate scope, including aryl, alkenyl, and heterocyclic derivatives, was studied. This study offers a convenient method to approach aryl/alkenyl boronic esters from phenol and ketone derivatives (see scheme).
