Multifunctional hybrid: A dendritic platinum nanoparticle/lucigenin/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) hybrid with chemiluminescence (CL) activity was prepared for the first time by using lucigenin as a linker through simultaneous reduction of H2PtCl4 and a lucigenin-functionalized graphene oxide composite by sodium borohydride (see scheme). The hybrid may have potential applications as a CL sensor, in catalysis, energy conversion, and opto-electronic systems.
