Kept in a cage: Complexation of phthalocyanine-grafted cyclodextrins and a sulfonated porphyrin leads to the formation of supramolecular nanowires through multivalent binding. These complexes contain multiple, preorganised π-electronic cages that efficiently capture C60 in water.
