Initial scant reports of NHSi complexes in the 1990s have been replaced by a plethora of examples across the transition metals today. One of the key elements precipitating this burgeoning development has been the tunable properties of NHSi's and the search for alternative complexes capable of novel or existing, stoichiometric and catalytic transformations. So far substantial progress has been made and NHSi complexes have shown to be active in several important catalytic and stoichiometric processes. For more information see the Review by M.
