Outcomes related to physicians' practice-based learning
Abstract
This paper provides a practical interpretation of practice-based learning outcomes and suggests ways in which these outcomes may be validated. Each stage of learning in the model proposed by Slotnick is described, competencies that physicians require to achieve these learning outcomes are suggested, and the relevance of these outcomes for planners and researchers in continuing education is discussed.
