Polymer-based spherical activated carbon (PBSAC) is an innovative and effective adsorbent for gas and water purification applications. The emphasis of this contribution lies in PBSAC production by a flexible batch process which allows for tailoring the pore system. Furthermore, possibilities for molding and structuring the PBSAC will be presented.
