Natural gas is a suitable alternative for gasoline in vehicles due to lower CO2 and NOx emissions. Amongst possible adsorbents, metal organic frameworks (MOFs) can be used. Combining the results from computational fluid dynamics modeling and experimental pulsed field gradient NMR, two MOFs are compared and their behavior for natural gas storage is predicted.
