Abstract

A new sufficient condition for uniqueness is applied to the tubular reactor problem. The resulting criterion is compared to existing criteria. Better a-priori estimates of the temperature solution were used to improve estimates on upper bounds for uniqueness. It is shown that these a-priori estimates bear the primary responsibility for the better results.

Abstract

Une nouvelle condition suffisante d'unicité est appliquée au problème des réacteurs tubulaires. Le critère obtenu est comparé aux critères existants. De meilleures estimations a priori de la solution de température ont été utilistées pour améliorer les estimations sur les limites supérieures de l'unicité. On montre que ces estimations a priori sont les premières responsables de l'amélioration des résultats.
