The back cover picture shows the structure of glucocerebrosidase in complex with its substrate, glucosylceramide (GlcCer), and the structure of an iminoglycolipid acting as a mimic of GlcCer. This compound is a very potent inhibitor of glucocerebrosidase and exhibits significant chaperone effect on the N370S and L444P mutations, which are responsible for type 1 and type 2 Gaucher disease, respectively.
