Teaching Conflict Resolution: A Model for Student Research in Cyprus



Field-based experiential learning is an effective way to introduce alternative dispute resolution concepts. This article presents a model of field-based learning in Cyprus that integrates concepts of conflict resolution with real-world experiences. Through this process, students learn to assess the effectiveness of conflict resolution strategies and to research, analyze, and report on conflict processes and their resolution. Although the model is based on a course in Cyprus, the example and course model are applicable to other locations and other conflicts.
