Modified Pt/Al2O3catalysts prove efficient for the production of hydrogen by reforming of glycerol. The addition of La2O3 or CeO2 strongly promotes the reaction by also involving the water–gas shift reaction in the process. The stability of Pt/La2O3/Al2O3 is promising, showing lower Pt sintering and coke deposition when compared to Pt/Al2O3.
