Characterizing the Three-Dimensional Organization of Telomeres, by B.J. Vermolen, Y. Garini, S. Mai, V. Mougey, T. Fest, T.C.Y. Chuang, A.Y.C. Chuang, L. Wark, and I.T. Young.

In the above referenced article, Figures 1, 5, 7 and the left graph of Figure 8 were first published in a BMC Biology article on June 3, 2004 entitled “The three-dimensional organization of telomeres in the nucleus of mammalian cells” authored by TCY Chuang, S. Moshir, Y.Garini, A.Y.Chuang, IT Young, B. Vermolen, R. van den Doel, V. Mougey, M. Perrin, M. Braun, P.D. Kerr, T. Fest, P. Boukamp, and S. Mai. These figures were not properly attributed to the original BMC Biology publication.

Additionally, large portions of text, Tables 1 and 2, and Figures 2, 3, 4, and 6 were first published in a paper that appeared in The Proceedings of SPIE on March 2005 entitled “Three-dimensional analysis tool for segmenting and measuring the structure of telomeres in mammalian nuclei” authored by Bart J Vermolen, Ian T Young, Alice Chuang, Landon Wark, Tony Chuang, Sabine Mai, and Yuval Garini; Volume 5699:111-120, (published March 2005). This paper was not referenced in the above noted Cytometry, Part A article.

Use of these illustrations all of which were created by the authors and text was intended solely to facilitate understanding of the material presented and the authors regret any misperception or confusion this may have caused to the readers of Cytometry, SPIE, or BMC Biology.
