Scatterplots were prepared by tracing UGE outlines and marking ventral bud positions, then superimposing tracings from replicate samples. Ventral prostatic bud positions in control wild-type males are represented by blue dots, while all other ventral bud positions are designated by a black dot. All tracings are in the same orientation (cranial at the top and caudal at the bottom) and at the same nominal magnification. Ventral bud counts are shown as mean ± SE, with the number of replicate samples in parentheses.|
