i) BsSix1/2. A:Alignment of the nucleotide sequences obtained from degenerated PCR for Six1/2 (BsSix1/2_Deg,) and from both the 5′ RACE and 3′ RACE clones [EMBL ID: HE681850, EMBL ID: HE681849, EMBL ID: HE681851]. To note that they differ at positions 456, 459 and 587 (black highlighted). All the sequences has been confirmed from sequencing of at least three independent clones. BsSix1/2_5′ RACE cDNA clone has been used for ISH. Putative start and stop codons have been highlighted in green and red, respectively. Spliced leader sequence at 5′ end has been underlined. B: Alignment of predicted amino acid sequences inferred from the nucleotide sequences in A. To note that they differ at 137 position (black highlighted); for phylogenetic analysis, the amino acid belonging to BsSix1/2_3′RACE has been chosen to construct a putative consensus sequence.
