    Mitsuo Gen received his BS and PhD in 1969 and 1974, respectively, from Kogakuin University. He was appointed Lecturer at Ashikaga Institute of Technology in 1974 and promoted to Assistant Professor in 1980. In 1981 and 1982, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 1987 he became a Professor at Ashikaga. He has been working on system optimization methods, numerical methods and development of software for multiobjective design. His book, Linear Goal Programming was published by the Electric Book Publishing Co. He is a member of Japanese Society of Operations Research, Japanese Society for Management Engineering, the Society for Information Processing and IEEE.

    Kenichi Ida received his BS and MS degrees in 1976 and 1978, respectively, from Kogakuin University. In 1978 he was appointed Research Assoicate at the Ashikaga Institute of Technology, and was promoted to Lecturer in 1985. In 1988 and 1989 a visiting staff member at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 1990 he was appointed an Assistant Professor at Ashikaga. He has been workinn on system optimization methods, numerical methods and development of software for numerical graphic methods. His book Library of Numerical Analysis with Personal Computers was published by HBJ Publishing Co. He is a member of Japanese Society of Operations Research, Japanese Society for Management Engineering and Society for Information Processing.

    Jae-Uk Lee received his BS degree in 1975 from Keikoku University and a PhD from East Asia University in 1987. In 1979 he was appointed Lecturer at Kyung-Nam Junior College in Pusan and was then promoted to an Associate Professor. During 1987 to 1988 he was Visiting Assistant Professor at Ashikaga Institute of Technology. He has been working on optimization of system reliability, numerical methods and development of goal programming.
