Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new method for removing view-disturbing noise from images taken with multiple cameras. In outdoor environments, scenes taken by cameras are often hard to see because of adherent noise on the surface of the lens-protecting glass. The proposed method analyzes multiple camera images describing the same scene, and synthesizes an image in which adherent noise is eliminated. We show the effectiveness of the proposed method through experimental results. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
