Synthesis and Optical Properties of Salicylaldimine-Based Diboron Complexes

Abstract

New salicylaldimine-based diboron complexes 13 have been synthesized and characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and single-crystal X-ray analysis (1 and 3). The photophysical and electrochemical properties of these compounds have been investigated experimentally and with theoretical calculations; their properties suggest that these compounds could have potential applications for the manufacture of optoelectronic devices.
