Controlled Synthesis of Polyoxopalladates, and Their Gas-Phase Fragmentation Study by Electrospray Ionization Tandem Mass Spectrometry (Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 20/2013)

The cover picture shows two new Pd-based POM structures obtained by using Cr3+ and In3+ ions as the structural-directing agents. The CID fragmentation reactions of the selected polyanions show that the different coordination configuration of the central metal X can affect the stability and the gas-phase fragmentation mechanism of the clusters. Details are discussed in the article by B. Wang, C. Hu et al. on p. 3458 ff. For more on the story behind the cover research, see the Cover Profile.
