      The cover picture shows association complexes between tramadol and S-β-CD in a representative electropherogram. To develop the enantioseparation, several CDs were evaluated and good resolution was obtained with S-β-CD and CM-β-CD. Computational methods were useful to understand the chiral recognition mechanism and the enantiomer migration order. The results were in totally agreement with the observed phenomena with both chiral selectors. Thus, it is important to notice that besides inclusion complexes, association complexes also play an important role in enantioseparation with modified CDs.
