Energy storage worth its salt: A series of protic salts are synthesized and their thermal properties characterized; the guanidinium triflate and mesylate salts exhibit high heats of fusion (ΔHf), which indicates their promising role in energy storage applications, particularly in the temperature range of 100–200 °C.
