Abstract

Corridor fatigue, property value negotiations, and the typical NIMBY sentiment are no strangers to the oil and gas industry. Progress comes through large and small projects across the nation among all industries. New roadways, wind farms, high-voltage transmission, and pipelines are all facing development challenges at the federal, state, and local levels. The hurdles faced in the oil and gas industry are parallel to those in other energy industries. Social approval of projects is becoming a deal-breaker for a growing number of energy projects.
